| Getting
the right Bra size
|
| With
a little helpful padding most of us can select the cup size we wish to
be. But all of us must deal with the circumference of our torso. To
select the correct Bra size we need to measure our circumference just
under our pectoral muscles.
|
| Use
a cloth tape measure to make the measurement. You can purchase one in
the sewing section of most department stores.
|
| The
measurement is taken just under the pectoral muscles and under the bust,
as shown in the
drawing below. See line "A". Put the tape around your torso
just under the pectoral muscle and take a deep breath. Let it out gently and take the measurement.
If the measurement is over 33 inches, add three
inches to the measurement. If the measurement is 33 inches or less, add
five inches to the measurement. Next, if the number is odd, round down to the next even number.
This is your Bra Size.
|
|
|
| For
example, if you measure 36 inches. Add three to make 39 and round down
to the next even number of 38. Now this will make for a snug fit. This
is helpful to keep your breast forms in place.
|
| Now
if
you are using an Attachable Breast Forms, you may want to round up to
the next even number. After all we do want to jiggle a little with
the Attachable Breast Forms.
|
| The
cup size is best measured with a Bra on. Choose the the best fitting Bra
you own and put it on. Put the tape around your torso
over the apex of your bust as shown in the figure above line
"C". Take a deep breath. Let it out gently and take the measurement.
Now subtract the two measurements and use the table below to identify
your cup size.

Now
with all this said, if you find a Bra that fits you well, buy it. The
information on this Help Page is only a guideline. You may find you like
to wear a bra that is not the size predicted by this method. If it feels
good, wear it.
