Step 1. Alcohol Wash
Wash your natural nails with isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol). The alcohol wash is VERY IMPORTANT. Do not substitute nail polish remover for isopropyl alcohol.
Step 2. Applying the Adhesive
After your natural nails are clean, tear off one square from the adhesive dot sheet. Peel the white paper backing off, leaving the dot stuck to the clear sheet. Take this and press the dot firmly onto the surface of your natural nail. The clear sheet will separate from the dot, which remains stuck to
your fingernail.
Step 3. Applying the Artificial Nail
Now take the artificial nail and press it down hard onto your adhesive covered fingernail, making sure that the
artificial nail makes complete contact with the entire surface of the adhesive. As you press it. move it very slightly side to side to "cement" the bond between it and
your fingernail surface.
Step 4. Removing the Artificial Nail
To remove the artificial nail, simply pull upward on the nail and it will come off easily. In most instances, the adhesive will stick to the artificial nail as it separates from your natural nail.
Step 5. Removing the Adhesive
To remove the adhesive dot from the your artificial nail, use any pointed instrument.
Be careful not to poke yourself. A cuticle removing tool works best, but
you can also use a nail file or a toothpick. Most anything with a point
will do. Stick the point of the tool into the glue dot material. Then begin to
twist slowly. The glue dot is self adhesive and will start winding around the tool, eventually lifting off the false nail completely. The key is the twisting motion. The used adhesive material can then be discarded and you are ready to start again with a fresh adhesive dot.
