Think of your Nails as Jewels, a  blank canvas before the artist (that's you) applies the color.  As with any fine painting you must start off with a clean canvas. So lets start off with a clean nails.  Now it is best to use a non-acetone Nail Polish Remover. However most of them have a strong fragrance. If you do not want to leave a fragrant trail around you, go to your local hardware store and purchase a can of Acetone. You will get an Acetone that is stronger than what you typically find in the Drug Store and it will not have a fragrance added.
