"Your Shipment has been sent" E-mail

We will send you an e-mail when your package is shipped. It will contain a listing of the items shipped and the carrier used. It will also contain the tracking number and or confirmation number to allow you to track the package.

Special Instructions

If you have a special need please indicated your request in the "Special Instructions" box on the credit card entry page. An example of a special instruction is to leave the package at the front door. However, to request this you release the shipper and Sami's Closet of the responsibility for the package after the shipper delivers the package.

Quick Delivery

We cannot guarantee delivery by a specific date. If you need to receive your order before a specific day, please tell us. We will make every effort to have your package delivered as you request.

Our normal order processing takes three full business days. If you request Second Day Air shipping, we attempt to ship your order in two days. If you request Next-Day-Air service we attempt to ship the next full business day. If you want Saturday shipment or Saturday delivery there is an additional charge. UPS picks up our shipments Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Shipping by UPS Ground can take a week. If you need faster service, we suggest you use an expedited UPS shipping or contact us. You may call us at 248-545-7436, e-mail us or place a note in the "Special Instructions" Box on the credit card page.

Second Day Air Delivery

Second Day Air Delivery is not two days to your door. If you request Second Day Air shipping, we attempt to take only two days to process your order rather than the normal three days. The package is then put out for pickup by UPS. UPS will then pick up the package on the second or possibly the third day. This depends on when the order is processed and when UPS picks up that day. UPS then guarantees two day service from the time of pickup to the day of delivery. Hence, Second Day service provides a shipment delivered to your door in four or five business days from the time that you place the order.

If you want Saturday shipment or Saturday delivery there is an additional charge and you must select these options during the ordering process. UPS picks up our shipments Monday through Friday, excluding holidays and weather emergencies.

Next Day Air Delivery

Next Day Air Delivery is not always one day to your door. If you request Next Day Air shipping, we attempt to take only one day to process your order rather than the normal three days. The package is then put out for pickup by UPS. Depending on the specific time, we sometimes call for a second pickup or sometimes take the package to the local UPS Depot. UPS then guarantees one day service from the time they get the package to the day of delivery.

Hence, Next Day service provides a shipment delivered to your door in two or three business days from the time that you place the order. If you need one day to your door service, please let us know. Sometimes we can do it, but it is not guaranteed.

If you want Saturday shipment or Saturday delivery there is an additional charge and you must select these options during the ordering process. UPS picks up our shipments Monday through Friday, excluding holidays and weather emergencies.

UPS Scheduled Delivery Date

When we ship a package with UPS they send us an e-mail with the tracking information and a Scheduled Delivery Date. This date does not take into account the amount of time it takes for the UPS driver to pickup the package. It assumes the package is immediately delivered to the nearest UPS Depot. This is not the case and hence the Scheduled Delivery Date sometime optimistic by a day.

Ship To Address

The online form requires the credit card address to validate the credit card purchase. We can ship to a different address and or person. Just fill out the Ship To section of the online order form.

Packaging

All of our boxed shipments are in secure unmarked boxes. Shipments to the United States of America will not have any printing indicating what the box contains. Envelope shipments are shipped in envelopes provided by the shipping companies and again they no printing indicating what is in the envelope.

Shipments to Canada and those outside of North America are in secure unmarked boxes or envelopes and will have external labeling as required by customs. Please read this page to learn the labeling required by customs.

Some materials as noted on the pages of this site are hazardous to ship and require special shipping techniques. The external labeling of these boxes will be identified on the ordering page or a special Help page with a link shown on the ordering page.

Shipping with Temperature Extremes

Please also think about the temperatures the package may be exposed to during shipment. For example, Makeup shipped to Southern California in the summer with 106°F days will melt. If you package contains a water based product and you live in Alaska, it may freeze in the winter.

When a package may be exposed to extreme temperatures, it may be necessary to ship using Second Day Air or Next Day Air to avoid damage caused by temperature extremes. We do use protective Labels, but what can a UPS Driver do when his truck is in the sun all day and it is 106°F outside?

A better alternative when shipping to locations that may be exposed to temperature extremes is the UPS "Hold at the Depot" option.

The return address on all packages and envelopes displays a company name of "S.C. Inc" and our address.

UPS Hold at Depot Shipments

United Parcel Service has a "hold at depot" shipping option for domestic shipments. If you do not wish to have your package sent to your address, please indicate you wishes by ordering the option on the UPS Hold at Depot page.

Phone Number

It is always best to provide a phone number to the shipper. If you wish to provide a phone number for the shipper and request not to be called by Sami's Closet, place a leading zero in front of the phone number. For example: 0-248-545-7436. We will provide the shipper with your phone number and will not use it ourselves.

All international shipments require a local phone number.

UPS "Hold at Depot" shipments require a local phone number or a service charge is assessed.

APO, FPO and PMB Addresses

UPS cannot deliver to APO (Army Post Office), FPO (Fleet Post Office) and PMB (Private Postal Mail Box) addresses. If you specify one of these address types the package will be sent by US Priority or Express Mail.

Hawaii and Puerto Rico Addresses

UPS can deliver to Hawaii and Puerto Rico Addresses, but it cost three times the cost of using the United States Post Office services. If you specify one of these locations the package will be sent by US Priority or Express Mail unless you specifically request UPS. We are looking into installing the USPS mail component to the web site. However until we get that done, please select UPS Ground and we will manually correct the cost of shipping.

Returned Shipments

If your shipment is returned to us as undeliverable due to erroneous information provided by you, a 20% or $10.00 (which ever is greater) service charge will be placed on your charge card.

Change of Address during shipment

If you need to have the "ship to" address changed during shipment, the shipper charges us a service charge. We will in turn pass that service charge on to your credit card.

Drop Shipments

All shipments from Sami's Closet come directly from us. We do not "Drop Ship". Our vendors ship to us and we ship to you. There will never be a drop shipment from our vendors directly to you. We verify the correctness of the items shipped and secure the shipment.

Our standards for the packages used, taping the package closed, protective labeling and a discreet return address cannot be guaranteed using drop shipments. Hence, all shipments from Sami's Closet are shipped by Sami's Closet. We cannot have your Bra hanging out of the box when it arrives, now can we.

Canadian PO Boxes

We are sorry, but we cannot ship Packages over four (4) pounds to Canadian PO Boxes. We use US Postal Service Air Mail and UPS to ship to Canada. Packages under four (4) pounds are sent by US Postal Service and packages order four (4) pounds are sent by UPS.

Domestic Shipments

We ship with United Parcel Service™ (UPS) and United States Postal Service™ (USPS) Priority Mail. All packages over one pound are shipped by UPS. Some packages under one pound are shipped by USPS. All US shipments to PO Boxes are shipped by USPS.

Canadian shipments

We ship packages weighting less than four (4) pounds to Canada using US Postal Service Air Mail. Packages weighting over four (4) pounds are shipped by UPS. When shipping by UPS there will be an envelope on the side of the package with customs documents. From the outside of the envelope the words "Customs Documents" can be seen. Inside the envelope is the Commercial Invoice and two copies for the customs personnel to review. The Commercial Invoice contains our full company name and contact information, a list of the items in the box, where they were made and what they were made from.

Duties and Taxes, if any are due, will be collected at the time of delivery. Please see the International Shipping page for further information.
